Lead and Copper Notice
The Clarksburg Water Board has detected elevated lead levels in water samples taken from certain locations around Clarksburg. As a result, the Bureau of Public Health is mandating that extensive lead and copper testing be performed by all systems who distribute water supplied by Clarksburg. The lead/copper is NOT in the water supply, it is a direct result of service line distribution to individual homes in Clarksburg.
The Town of Nutter Fort does not have any lead distribution lines, however, individual homes built before 1985 may have lead or lead soldered service lines. Any homeowners within the Nutter Fort service area with lead service lines, or copper service lines with lead solder, are asked to contact the Town of Nutter (304-622-7713 x102) at your earliest convenience to be scheduled for free sampling or email lcummings@townofnutterfort.com with questions. We will notify homeowners of the results within 30 days from receipt. The Town appreciates your prompt attention to this matter.
